BFSI: A billion Indians are largely underserved by formal financial sector. We foresee massive growth in this sector and Ravi Doraiswamy, Suresh Kulkarni, K Subramanian, Arijit Chanda and Bharat Mandot bring focused and deep experience for our clients.
Telecom: A nation that likes to talk, high tele-density, rising incomes, crowded sector supports booming ancillary industries. Sundar Viswhwanath who was at Bharti and Infotech has deep knowledge of this sector and knows what works and what does not in this industry.
Private Equity:The next generation of funding is going to be Private Equity. The stock market is an inefficient method of raising equity funds for emerging companies because of insufficient dissemination of knowledge to the general public. PE’s in the future will tap retail money too. Sreekumar, Ayan and George have deep knowledge of this industry again from a multifaceted way viz. CFO/Legal/Investee company.
Media: Media has a long history in India but organized media has not reached the maturity levels of say Manufacturing or Telecom. Ayan Chakraborthy , George Antony and Mita Chatterjee cover the range of Television, Radio and Distribution with deep experience in this sector both in India and abroad.
Healthcare: We are a country with a billion plus people who are living longer and earning more. We are also associated with medicine since ancient times. So demand and supply both are strong. Dr. Shalini Ratan has been helping medical practitioners come up the curve by adapting modern business practices. George Antony has helped a couple of hospitals expand into multi city or multi location entities.
Education: Education is the key to India’s presence on the global map and the happiness and wellbeing of its own people. With low literacy levels and heavy demand for employable people this is a sunrise sector. Dr. Shauvick Datta who was the Dean of IIPM Bombay and then Centum [Bharti] advises institutions on set up and capacity building.
Outsourcing: The sunrise sector of the last decade is now a maturing industry which requires urgent attention due to issues attached with growth and the growing domestic market. Saraswathi Iyer and Sundar have experience in setting up BPO’s, Data Centers and running them and help companies understand and solve these issues.
